About Us

The Somali Archery Federation is the national governing body for the sport of Archery in Somalia. The Federation is responsible for the development and promotion of Archery in the country. The Somali Archery Federation was founded in the year 2006 and affiliated to world archery in 2008.

The Somali archery since its establishment in 2006 stood up for the support of those who has a passion for archery as well as creating hope for the young generation during the difficulties in political and security circumstances in the country. Sports activities including archery was the only bright news from this war-torn state as youth interested much and showed resilience to loss of hope.

Vision

A future where archery is seen as a popular sport in the Somalia and where athletes from most of our member associations excel at major international events.

Mission

Somali Archery is Federation leading the sport of archery. It is meant to work towards empowering its member associations to design and implement plans to achieve high levels of performance at continental and whole-world championships and games, as well as towards making archery a sport.
