Somali Archery Federation Becomes Full Member of the Olympic Family

The Somali Archery Federation is proud to announce that it has officially become a full member of the Somalia National Olympic Committee (Somali NOC). On 2nd June 2025, during its Executive Board meeting, the Somali NOC unanimously voted in favor of granting full membership to the Somali Archery Federation, recognizing our federation as part of the wider Olympic family. Somali Archery Federation Promotes University Sports Through Inter-University Competition at Zamzam University

The Somali Archery Federation successfully organized an inter-university archery competition at Zamzam University, Garasbaaley Campus, bringing together students from universities across the country to showcase their talent in the growing sport of archery. Somali Independence Day Archery Tournament – 26 June

On 26th June, the Somali Archery Federation proudly organized a special archery tournament to commemorate Somalia’s Independence Day, marking the liberation of the northern regions in 1960. The tournament brought together youth and adult archers from different regions to celebrate national unity, sportsmanship, and culture through the ancient art of archery.
